The Secret of the Canadian Geese…

Hello Brilliant Entrepreneur!

Today I want to share with you something that I’ve learned from the Canadian Geese… about Success!

But before let me tell you how I got to their Secret.

A few months ago I realized that my rhythm, my annual rhythm does not work with the normal calendar, January being the beginning.

Having a young daughter, when the school year starts it is a NEW year for me as well, and my business has more “space” to expand… I start thinking about goals in August and September!

And that is when I start seeing the Canadian Geese in the sky – living in New England…

I have noticed that no matter what my goals are there are 5 principles that I have to apply to reach their success and what better way to illustrate them than with Nature and it’s wisdom!

5 Secrets I learned from the Canadian Geese:

1. They always travel in V formation. There’s one leader.
In my business this represents the VISION, clear direction, My Soul-Calling to guide me, it has to be always present setting the direction of my journey.

2. When a goose gets out of the V formation it discovers that it takes a lot of effort and energy to move forward – Geese can travel 70% farther with the same amount of energy when they keep this formation.
In my business there is a structure and strategies that work – when I follow them – I have learned the hard way that when I get “out of formation” I am a lot less efficient.

3. Geese rotate leadership – the leader rotates out to rest, it takes massive amounts of energy to “lead”
I have learned through “bunt out” that I definitely need to rest and rejuvenate to continue to give and lead others in my programs. I love what I do, and though I get amazing inspiration and satisfaction, I still need to go on vacation and re-fuel

4. Geese honk at each other – they communicate to let each other know where they are…
So simple and crucial, communication! I have to stay in connection with my team, clients and students so we can all feel we are supported by The Tribe!
That is one of the most gratifying aspects of my work: creating a Tribe of like minded soulful people all journeying together with the goal to fulfill our Soul-Calling!

5. Geese help each other. If one goose falls out of formation or falls to the ground – two other geese will drop and be there to protect it
We are in this journey together, we are b
uilding relationships and supporting each other!
We are not alone, when we hit a road block we can count on each other for support.

And lastly I want to share that:

“Our Honking needs to be encouraging

Outcomes are more Powerful when there’s support and encouragement

Individual Empowerment results from quality Honking”

My deep gratitude to the Geese for this amazing opportunity to witness their wisdom and continue to learn from it.

And finally I invite you to reflect and tell me:
How can I help You be more like the Geese?
What can I do to help You be the leader in Your Field?
What are the challenges or road blocks that You encounter?

Leave a comment below. It’s always a pleasure to hear from you and I’ll respond!
